An international phenomenon has emerged due to the rise in student mental health demands. [1] Students' needs in today's society are increasing, including those related to academics, relationships with others, families, finances, and visas.

The likelihood that students may experience mental health issues like depression may arise due to these pressures. According to statistics, anxiety and depression are students' most prevalent mental health problems. But according to recent studies, there is an increase in stressors specific to students, such as financial strains, family problems, academic difficulties, and substance abuse.[2]

As a result, many nations and regions are beginning to pay attention to and actively implement different types of mental health education and support services. Due to their increasing attendance, students seek counselling services with higher overall requirements and more complex mental health needs. [3]

What is well-being

Our well-being refers to how we are doing as people, communities, and a country and how sustainable that are. It includes our subjective experiences throughout our lives, the environmental elements that impact us, and how we interact with others.[4]

Well-being is most frequently used in philosophy to refer to things that are ultimately good for a person or non-instrumental. Hedonic, desire and goal-list theories are now the three categories used to categorise approaches to happiness. The so-called welfarist viewpoint holds that well-being is the only important thing. The topic of how a person's moral conduct and behaviour connect to their well-being is one that ethics places equal importance on.[5]

Everyone's view and experience of well-being are unique. This blog will help you learn more about well-being and improve your overall experience.
